Long-Term Benefits

This is a long-term investment in sustainable recreation and local prosperity. Built in five thoughtfully phased stages over 20 years, the expansion focuses first on winter use, while also creating opportunities for future summer amenities.

Economic Growth
The expansion is estimated to more than double Mission Ridge’s economic impact in the Wenatchee Valley, supporting an estimated 700+ total jobs and generating $25+ million in annual local economic output upon project completion. Current operations support 477 jobs and $8.3 million annually.

Additional benefits include:

  • $31 million in sales tax revenue to local and state governments.
  • $200 million in property tax revenue from new housing development, providing a stable long-term funding source for Chelan County.
  • $23 million in annual economic output from non-local visitor spending, supporting 167 jobs in the regional economy – up from 96 jobs and $13.3 million today.
  • $8.9 million in new annual spending from additional visits, supporting 71 new jobs in Chelan County.

Vision & Values

Above all, the Mission Ridge Expansion is designed to preserve and enhance what makes this place special: Joy. Freedom. Exploration. Community. This is a skier’s mountain — and the expansion ensures it remains that way for generations to come.
